If you thought twitter was simple enough tool to use, here is a great tool that will simplify your twitter usage even more. It’s called Twitter for Busy People.

It displays the twitter updates of your friends according to the Last Hour, Last Day and More than 1 Day (ago) messages.

Time difference is a major issue in Twitter, most of the time you will miss the tweets of the people you are following who are on the other side of the globe, this is especially true when you are following many people. With this above mentioned tool, it almost solves this problem.

Users can also be notified automatically by email when their question has been approved or rejected.

Some stats about Twitter’s users

Here is some stats about Twitter users:

• 79.79% failed to provide a homepage URL
• 75.86% of users have not entered a bio in their profile
• 68.68% have not specified a location
• 55.50% are not following anyone
• 54.88% have never tweeted
• 52.71% have no followers

Seems like half of twitter-nation is inactive, 54.88% have never tweeted. And half of them has no followers (52.71%).

However you can read the whole book online for free at www.brucejudson.com. Judging by the reviews at Amazon it seems a good book. Perhaps it can give you some idea or motivation to start your own business.

Global Recession Status, Visualized

Click the image for an interactive map showing each country’s economic condition. Countries that are in recession are in red color. Even the growing economies (green color) like China and India have been hit hard by this crisis.

Lets hope that the global economy will start to recover by the end of this year, and hopefully see a steady growth in 2010.

MIT goes Open Source

Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is one of the top academic institutions in the world. How about learning what MIT students are learning but for free?

MIT’s open source project called OpenCourseWare was setup to provide MIT’s lectures for free. Currently there are about 1,900 courses available on the portal. Lectures contain all the necessary files and some of the lectures include audio and video content. It will be like distance learning, you just sit at home and watch the lectures of MIT on your PC. If you are a good self-learner, you can benefit a lot from this portal.

I am particularly interested in the Sloan School of Managment section which covers topics like Management, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Strategy etc.

There are many other universities that have similar programs like MIT’s OCW; Yale, Berkeley, Tufts, Stanford etc. But I see that MIT has the most complete archive of their lectures online.

So, enjoy the free education!
