LogoCreator.com - Buy once, create tons of logos

New to this blog? See our Popular Posts section to get started, we have tons of great articles that can benefit you. Don't miss the upcoming interesting articles, subscribe to our RSS.

The logo to the left, was designed by a product called The Logo Creator 5.0. Basically it took me less than one minute to create it.

I had a chance to try out the Mega Pak version, which has over 380 logos inside, that you can mix, match and manipulate.

Mega Pak version basically includes all the following individual softwares, and costs $189.95. You can also opt to individual softwares based on the theme of the logos that you want to create, they are:

  • The Corporate Edition (80 logos) Price: $29.95
  • The Cartoon Mascot Logo Edition (50 logos) Price: $29.95
  • The Travel and Leisure Logo Design set (50 logos) Price: $29.95
  • The Entertainment Edition(50 logos) Price: $29.95
  • The Spiritual Collection (50 logos) Price: $29.95
  • The Real Estate Edition (50 logos) Price: $29.95
  • The Sports Collection (50 logos) Price: $29.95

For example, if you are mainly launching sites that are in business (corporate) category, then The Corporate Edition is right for you. It has 80 logos inside, and over 300 built in logo design elements and 50 built in fonts.

Working with Logo Creator

The Logo Creator has an easy to follow interface, as you can see to the left. Interface elements are intuitive, so new users who is use it for the first time will find it quite easy to work with it.

Main window is a preview area where you edit the chosen logo. Side bar allows you to change the logo attributes, such as Format, Color, Shadow, Blur…etc. And the top toolbar is where you type in your text (or change the existing texts). The toolbar is also used as a source library for you to select different images (see below).

You can just drag and drop any image to the main window and they will become editable. Even for images, you will be able to change color, opacity level, shadow, blur, size, gradient..etc

Who is it for?

It’s suitable for IT and non-IT people alike. If you want to create your own logos but don’t want to spend hours to learn Photoshop, then Logo Creator is right for you. Because it’s designed for a specific purpose only, and that is to design logos. Obviously, specific purpose softwares are a lot easier to use. Because it doesn’t have all the additional unnecessary features that a software like this do not need. With only the right features and tools, you will be creating your logos lightning fast ;)

My Suggestions

I think it’s a great software, my only suggestion is to have more shapes and design elements. I think you can’t go wrong with high quality professionally designed shapes. It might be costly in the beginning, because designer needs to spend longer hours to create each design element. But once created, they have zero additional cost for every software sold. Of course, high quality product also directly relates to satisfied customers.

That said, I think for $29.95, The Logo Creator is still a bargain! So, check it out! There is a discussion forum too, where you can interact with other members, and discuss your issues.

Note: This is a sponsored post, if you want to get your software or site reviewed, details are here.

My PR7 is gone, but links are still selling…

In the latest PR update (actually, even before that, in the earlier PR downgrade), I lost my PR7, now it is PR5. Since it was a penalty from Google for selling text links on my blog, I had two options:

  1. Remove all the TLA and LinkWorth text link ads from the blog and request Google for reconsideration. Which, most probably would give me back my PR7.
  2. To keep the links and continue selling text links and doing paid reviews.

You are right. I did choose the second one.

Was it a right a decision?

From the financial point of view, it was a right decision. Because now I can keep making money with TLA and LinkWorth. Moreover, after the downgrade, I sold two more new direct text-links for $150 each, one is LogoMaid.com and another NetRadio.com.

Had I obeyed Google’s demands, I wouldn’t be talking about my new $300 income now.

This proves that, you can still make money with a lower PR blog. It also proves that, not all advertisers are looking for a high PR backlink. Rather they are looking for a good blog (preferably with high traffic) that is related to their business.

Rent computers for any event

When I was doing my degree, me and some of my friends used to organize Web Design related classes. This would be conducted in a computer lab at the university. The program was organized by students’ society and the trainers - that is us.

After I graduated from the uni, we wanted to organize such trainings again. But this time we had few problems. Where to get the venue? and the computers?. University wouldn’t allow us to do training anymore, and outside there were no suitable place for us to rent a computer lab.

The Solution

I wish that time ComputerRentals.com was there. Computer Rentals (CRE) is a leading provider of computer and audiovisual rental equipment with service throughout the U.S. and Canada. They provide businesses with short term computer rentals from a few days up to a year.

Why Rent?

In some situations, renting computers is the ideal solution. In my case, buying 20 PCs would be too expensive, and there are not many labs which offers renting services. Here is some more situations when you could rent PCs:

  • One-week off-site software training class
  • Three-month customer research project
  • Trade shows
  • Convention or special events
  • General session/key note address
  • Render Farm project

CRE carries brand name computers such as HP Compaq and Apple. You can also request for a custom build computers, and they will build your machine according to your specifications. CRE can custom build gaming computer rentals for exhibition or validation and testing. If you’re putting together a temporary on-location network or a training classroom, CRE offers computer rental services you need to construct a complete computer network.

Suggestions

CRE operates in US and Canada only. I think if they went global, they could have tapped into international resources. Because in US and Canada, there are many competitors. But in some countries in the world, there is no such service at all. So by introducing such service, they could gain the first mover advantage in some countries.

One way of going global would be, to partner with local IT companies. Just like WesternUnion, WU does its business through local banks in every country.

Note: This is my first sponsored review, I had resisted doing a paid review for a long time. But when CRE approached me through LinkWorth, I knew I could do them a review, since it was related to my field.
