New to this blog? See our Popular Posts section to get started, we have tons of great articles that can benefit you. Don't miss the upcoming interesting articles, subscribe to our RSS.

Have you wondered how Amazon’s books would look like if it was in a real bookstore? Well, zoomii tries to visualize just that (see below). It’s a real life like bookstore that is based on Amazon. It’s very interactive, you can click and drag, and use your mouse wheel to zoom-in and zoom-out. Clicking on a book will display the book details.

See it in action below. Cool huh? I won’t be surprised if Amazon will buy this website…

Wordtracker - 7 Day Free Access

wordtracker.pngPopular keyword research tool Wordtracker is giving free 7 day full-access to its system.

I think 7 days is a plenty of time for me to research my keywords, I just have to remember to cancel my subscription within this period.

Please note that you will have to supply your Credit Card details when registering, so if you do not want your card to be charged, you will have to cancel your subscription within 7 days.

How to use Wordtracker? You can use Wordtracker to find keywords that are relevant to your products and services, how people are finding things that are similar to your products and services.

For example, let’s say you sell wordpress templates, so you optimize your site for this keyword - “wordpress templates“. But using Wordtracker you might find that equal number of people are finding your competitors’ sites, searching for keyword “blog themes“. So, Wordtracker will tell you what keyword you should target to attract more visitors to your website.

Below is the screenshot of one of the tools of Wordtracker. If you want to try it out for 7 days for free, you can register here.

TreasureMyText.com - Archive your SMSs

Mobile phones are a part of our lives now. Many things are done through SMS these days. treasuremysms.pngWe make deals over SMS, send important infos, make promises..etc

But almost all the time these SMSs get deleted over time. And since human beings are not perfect, they forget things; they forget that they made a deal, and they forget that they made a promise…

This is where TreasureMyText.com comes for a rescue! It’s an online SMS Storage service. You can forward your important SMS’s to your account and it will be safely stored online. I tried the service and it worked fine. Local Malaysian telecom provider (Maxis) charged 0.20 cents (USD 0.06) for the sms, which is quite cheap considering that the number was international. TreasureMyText provides UK number for those countries outside US, Canada, Netherlands, and UK. So, I guess those who are in these 4 countries will get a better deal, since they will be sending SMS to their local numbers.

RSSfwd - tool when blog doesn’t offer RSS via Email

rssfwd.pngWhat do you do when your favorite blog doesn’t offer RSS via Email? And you want to receive daily digests in your email? The answer is “nothing” until RSSfwd came about.

RSSfwd allows any site/blog that has RSS to be emailed to your email as individual emails (as the posts are posted) or as a daily digest that is send to your email as specified by you (eg: every morning, afternoon, evening..etc)

While I don’t normally subscribe to RSS via email , I think there are some people who prefer to get posts via Email. So, I thought some of you guys might find this tool useful. rssfwd.com

UpDown.com - play stock market for fun, earn real money

updown.png UpDown.com is a social network for virtual investing that has more than 40,000 members. It provides members with virtual portfolios and $1,000,000 in virtual money to invest. UpDown.com provides a free platform for people to improve their skills through collaboration, competition and aggregated wisdom. In the process, UpDown allows members to earn real money with zero risk of financial loss.

UpDown.com members earn money whenever their virtual portfolios outperform the S&P 500. The higher the margin that their portfolios beat the S&P 500, the more money they earn each month.

When I asked how much a person can earn from UpDown.com, Liz Bradley (Director of Public Relations) said that:

The total amount that individual members can earn is unlimited, but the average payouts really depend on the community’s overall performance. Currently, UpDown.com’s total monthly payments average about $10,000 over the community, and the site expects that monthly payout average to grow significantly as its membership continues to expand. The site’s top earner has made over $3,000 in a few months.

Not bad huh? You get paid for improving your financial skills… it will be and advantage if you have finance background. I have been trying to persuade my wife to give it a try, because she has bachelor’s and master’s degree in finance. But so far no avail :( She is too busy with our two sons (one 2.5 years old, another is only 27 days old). I guess I just have to wait until my son grows up a little.
