Flapr - Flash based interface to Flickr

Flapr is done entirely in flash, I find it a lot easier to use, compared to Flickr itself. For some reason Flickr does not display Search box on the secondary pages, this makes a lot of people’s life difficult - imagine thousands of people searching for the Search box and clicking back button to make a new search. Flapr retrieves the images in the same page so you don’t have to go from page to page as you do in Flickr.

It doesn’t increase users’ attention, it drives them away; most people equate animated content with useless content.

If used correctly flash can be a great tool and a great addition to your site. However if designed badly (especially the fully flash sites) it can be a disaster to a company. Here designed badly means in the usability sense, Read more »

ShutterBook - Online Photo Sharing the Flash way

ShutterBook is a new flash based online photo sharing service. Currently it is in Beta, so the service is free. If you want to get a free account you need to register now, because after the official launch it will be a paid service. All beta testers receive Premium accounts and after the official launch, beta testers will keep their Premium accounts at no additional charge. Here is a demo of this service www.shutterbook.com/home/demo.php It seems a nice tool, however if you have too many photos inside one album the connection seems to slow down.
