BlogCup competition update
As you know AdesBlog is in the BlogCup International Competition, in Semi-Finals. However, I should say it’s not doing too good. Currently Pointess Banter is beating AdesBlog by 179 to 48 .
Voting will be on for another two days, if only half of the readers of AdesBlog could vote, I am sure then Pointless Banter would have a tough competition. So guys, please do vote for AdesBlog! vote here (scroll to the end of the page). Thanks for your support!

AdesBlog’s Free PR7 Backlink Contest

Google seems to be having algorithm update, and it’s affecting the search engine results. JohnChow has been affected with this update, now his site no longer appears on the first page for the search phrase “make money online”. He says he has slipped to page 4. Due to this phenomenon, he has stopped giving away free links indefinitely.
AdesBlog Competition
Good news is that AdesBlog will continue to give away free PR7 links. The algorithm update didn’t affect my blog particularly (but affected other projects). In fact, this competition is working very well. Now my color picker program is on the first page of Google, Yahoo, and MSN Live for the keyword “color picker“.
These results will definitely change as the days pass, but I hope they will change positively. If everything goes well and if Google won’t come up with another smart algorithm update, then hopefully my target is No.1 spot on all 3 Search Engines.
Before I started this competition, my program was on Page-12 on Google. So this kind of SEO strategy really works. If you haven’t already started similar program (getting links to your site with specific anchor text), you should do so as soon as possible. Because that will make you one step ahead of your competition. I also believe that if you do not rank high on search engines (if your blog is new), then you have nothing to loose. This algorithm update won’t affect you much. It affects the most who are already on top.
Kumiko has moved out from blogspot, and has registered her own domain name – www.cashquests.com. That’s a nice domain name, I wonder if it was available? Or she has bought it from someone else?
Initially she started out a blog to see if she can make money online. As you can see from the screenshot, she has made almost $800 already. If you are new to blogging, it’s one of the blogs that you should definitely read. www.cashquests.com

The Pisstakers is a multi-faceted humor blog covering web, tech, world news and quirky stories. While I do not like the name of the blog, I should say this is a very interesting blog and worth visiting. Ed (the founder) says about the name of the blog: “The term Pisstaker has nothing to do with urine, but everything to do with Ed’s articles that are somewhat cynical, sarcastic and humorous. For the purists, content is based on genuine events and topics and never strays too far from the truth.”
