I want to know if anyone of AdesBlog readers is interested in free domain name and hosting? If you do please let me know by leaving a comment on this post. Depending on the feedback, I will organize (or not organize) a contest where people will stand a chance to win free domain name + hosting. This contest will be held every week, for 8 weeks consecutively. If it proves to be successful, I might continue it for a longer period.

This is one of the contests that I have in mind (more to come in the future), it is also in line with AdesBlog’s vision (see tagline below the logo).

I have just been informed by Kontera that, it will run a video testimonial contest from Dec 1, 2007 through March 1, 2008. Participants will stand a chance to win $1,000 free advertising in Kontera network.

Here is what you need to do, to enter this contest:

1. Use a maximum 3 minute long video or animated flash to tell us who you are, how and when you began your partnership with Kontera, what sort of impact has ContentLinkâ„¢ made for your site etc.
2. Upload your video to YouTube, and tag it: “Kontera”, “ContentLink”, “In-Text Advertising”, “Contextual Advertising”.
3. Send the URL to video[at]kontera[dot]com
4. Tell them you heard it from AdesBlog ;)

• 1st Prize:
  $1000 worth of free advertising for your site or blog + Exposure for your site on Kontera website and on The Official Kontera Blog.
• 2nd prize:
  $500 worth of free advertising for your site/blog.
• 3rd prize:

BlogCup competition update

As you know AdesBlog is in the BlogCup International Competition, in Semi-Finals. However, I should say it’s not doing too good. Currently Pointess Banter is beating AdesBlog by 179 to 48 .

Voting will be on for another two days, if only half of the readers of AdesBlog could vote, I am sure then Pointless Banter would have a tough competition. So guys, please do vote for AdesBlog! vote here (scroll to the end of the page). Thanks for your support!

P.S BlogCup should display the latest competitions at the top of the page, it would make voting a lot easier.

Thanks to you AdesBlog readers, now my blog is through to Semi-Finals. Now, I am up against Pointless Banter, he has over 700 readers and I am anticipating a tough competition. Currently he is leading with two counts 2:0.

KL Blogger Gathering

On another note, there will be first Kuala Lumpur Blogger Gathering in KL Sentral, Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA.

Event details are as follows: Date: 17th Nov 2007 (tomorrow), Venue: KL Sentral - Starbucks, Time: 2pm - 5pm.

You can confirm your attendance here, but I am not sure if there is any seats left.

Unfortunately I won’t be coming for the gathering, tomorrow I will be busy till afternoon - will be out of KL. After that, at 3pm I have my MBA class, which will span til 6:30pm. So, I don’t think I can make it. But if I can, I will drop by to say “hi” to my fellow bloggers. If not, hopefully I will make it the next time. Hafe fun!
