Patents are a big business in mobile industry and many people believe that Google’s recent move to acquire Motorola for $12.5 billion is precisely for this reason – to get hold of Motorola’s 1,700 patents of which 18 seems to be crucial for Android.

I prefer them colaborating instead of competing, but that is too utopic to happen yet
Seems that majority of these companies are either suing or are being sued. This is just crazy. They should work together in harmony. There will always be competition but is should be healthy and this seems very unhealthy.
