Tablet market is really heating up. With the introduction of HP’s TouchPad, it seems 2011 is going to be an interesting year for tablets. I think HP did a really good job and it’s quite impressive actually. Here is a video from Scobleizer that he took during the launch event for TouchPad. If HP puts a competitive price on this tablet, then the race will be on! Watch out Apple and Samsung!
Now just imagine being able to host dedicated servers on these! Maybe in the near future!

i think the same, the market tablet are increising, I waiting to google tablet, I read will be able first of this year :)
did you already have that HP’s TouchPad? how much? it really worth or not?
HP’s tablet really does look impressive. I am looking forward to hearing what it will cost. Thanks for sharing the video.

HP TouchPad same as Apple iPad. It supports a huge tablet-optimized applications. It provides various notifications such as text message and incoming mails with switching options, It means you no need to close your current application to view other one. HP TouchPad have virtual touch pad with various sizes. You can get in touch with all social networks with single touch. Its superb product.
A lot of people want to buy tablet PCs. This is why they seek the internet as their number one destination so that they can buy tablet PCs online at cheap and affordable rates.
I have yet to try out the HP tablet, however I have owned a few HP laptops over the years, and, in general, they tend to have nice products. I am sure that over the next few months there will be more and more tablet products to choose from on the market, giving us plenty of options.
yes totally agree with you that tablet market is heating up. HP’s TouchPad seems great…
rumors says that Apple is also preparing for a launch for its new and improved iPad 2 this summer. so i guess this summer we will be seeing some cool tablet PC’s
I don’t suppose you know what sort of market share the iPad has for tablets? I have a feeling that Apple has the tablet market sewn up, but I’d love some statistics to back that up. If so then I think HP might be trying to muscle in on a market where the race has already been won. How’s that for mixed metaphors?
Thanks!
Pete
Interesting, already there are they on sale or not?…
there are lots of new tabled releasing , with motorola xoom released recently and ipad 2 goint to be released tomorrow …
It is nice to see the rapid overall growth in the tablet market. Can never complain about having more options available!
Well, I already gave in and bought the iPad a while back so this is out of the question for my budget. But I am really interested to see how it fares up to the iPad given how it’s a direct competitor. I’ll wait for one of my colleagues to get it and test it out myself.
I have bought an ipad use to work with while i am in travel, its very useful
HP touch screen features 9.7-inch capacitive touch display, which provides the display resolution of 1024 × 768 pixels, the same as the Apple iPad, and most other Tablet PC-and a 16:9 aspect ratio.
you should write about the ipad 2 now
i’m not impressed, to be honest!
HP can’t challenge samsung galaxy tab and ipad 2 in every possible way
it has just 5000 apps at the moment, while ipad has over 10 million and samsung is not far behind as well
Hewlett Packard will be hard-pressed to compete with Apple. Earlier this week, Apple reported that iPad 2 sales surpassed a million units…
Im quite impressed but try to beat the new ipad2 tablet? technology is rocking right now!
Yep! iPad’s too gone with a whooping sale just first quarter of 2011. And there is introduction of this new Olive pad as well, plus Samsung pad and lot more. Definitely seems like 2011′s gonna be the tablet year. :)
This does look really impressive. My friend just got the ipad 2 and she loves that. I really can’t decide what kind of Pad I want
waiting for ipad 3 release in September this year
Every company has their strong points when it comes to their own technologies. HP has come a long way to become a reputable computer and technological company, and it shows in their work. The quality is improving. But do you think with such giants like Motorola, Samsung and Apple that it can successfully compete?
See I’m not so sure its an iPad killer as such. Don’t get me wrong, its a lovely piece of kit, but give me an ipad or android powered device any day of the week!
iPad will lead long time imo
Of course, the device serious, but the size of it a little too large..
Impressive specs and very stylish! Perfect for multitasking, HP did a great job!
Awesome gadget. Very evolutionary, but I think I’d go fot an iPad or an Android Tablet.
Those 2 are the best platfortm (OS) available.
Except if HP integrates one of these two into the device
This year is going to be a Tablet year! Almost all of the electronic company making a Tablet to sell… Anyway lots of people love it and even me I wanted to buy one of this…
Which language they are using for software development..
I am glad to see that at last HP has come up with its own tablet as many of us are waiting for it since last year as there was huge rumour about it. I am keeping my finger cross and hoping that it will have some advance features with competitive price too. By the way nice video.
I have used HP products and they all serve me just perfectly. I am sure the new tablet is also wonderful although I have not tried it personally. Apple i pads are also great with a large number of applications but I am not aware of how many applications this one has. All in all it will give customers a wider variety to choose from.
