Google Font Directory is a great place to integrate different fonts other than the usual Verdana and Arial to your blog. With the launch of Google Font Viewer, it got a lot easier to change the fonts of your blog to nicer looking fonts. With just a few selections and copy-pasting a CSS code, your blog’s fonts can be different.

I hope font designers will support this project and contribute more free fonts to the directory.

I use this on some of my websites. It’s good to see we can finally use fonts other than arial and verdana! It’s a great idea from Google, and I just hope that the service grows and offers more fonts.

It’s only helpful if you have access to the font to install on your site though.

This looks quite a handy tool. But will the fonts work if these fonts are not installed on the persons computer?
Nice one! The question that begs to be answered is what happens if the font is not installed on the visitors computer? I suppose that some form of online library will need to take care of the exotics, right?

I would prefer Helvetica for body text and Georgia for headings. They are the best combination for me. Hope this help! =)

It is indeed a truly amazing tool for font selection. But be warned that not all computers/users can view the special font you’ve set for your site. It’s depending on whether or not the user has the approprite font installed into their computer.
never know bout this. definitely will try. cool tips. previously, lots website use standard verdana font.

I don’t agree as Google offer is somehow limited. You can try to use Dragr tool to create custom embeddable free fonts and preview it for HTML5:
