Google and Breadcrumbs
Implement breadcrumbs navigation in your website and Google will reflect it on its Search Results, instead of the URL path that it normally shows (see below).

And the links in the breadcrumbs actually point to different sections of the website, just like the navigation on actual website. That’s cool.
I didn’t know they did that. Looks very user friendly to me. So, if you can, try implementing breadcrumbs in your online projects.

I agree that breadcrumbs in search results would help usability. I just wonder how Google detects breadcrumbs and which sites they display them for. It doesn’t seem to be showing up for any of my sites that have breadcrumbs.

Oh now thats pretty cool, I’ve never noticed that before in the search results, I think this may finally give me the incentive to apply the navigation style to my wordpress theme on my personal blog :D

This is a clever idea, it seems like a no-brainer. I’ve tried getting my URL’s in this structure but I haven’t seen any results yet.

Does anyone know if Google has released documentation related to this? I’d like to set this up for my sites that have breadcrumb navigation. It helps with usability and might even improve click through rates.

I am seeing this for many pages on both of our sites. It is interesting, I didn’t like it at first, but I think I’m coming around to it now when I spend more time with it. The design is better then standard link, as it gives the customer more links to click as well.
