3D Video Panoramas Are Way Cooler…

3D Panoramic Picture Galleries are really amazing to look at, but I think 3D video panoramas are way cooler… watch. (feel free to drag the video in all directions to see other sides)

Wow that is super cool. Maybe one day we will be able to control camera angles when watching tv. It is likely still a long ways off though. I’m sure it is expensive to film things in 3d.

That is awesome! Kinda of reminds me of a movie I saw recently called Deja Vu which had this same characteristic in the movie where the actors could move around video like that, but they had alot more control over it.

    Till then,

This is truly amazing technology. The market that would open up would be HUUUUGE! I can’t even imagine all the business that would love to have this in their website as a promotional tool.

My broadband is quite laggy and slow, so I wasn’t able to really enjoy this running smoothly. The concept is great however, and I can see it becoming very popular as internet speeds go up.

@Marketing Man, yeah and I could also see the viewing angles becoming more and more free.

    Till then,

its amazing how fast technology catches on some times, when its been around for years and then - Bam the tipping point hits and you see it everywere like 3-d just look at the coverage from CES its like Avatar comes home.

Static images are for amateurs, however. You can use After Effects to recreate the camera’s pan by simply moving a virtual camera across the image. The resulting video can then be incorporated into a rich-media website or distributed via the likes of Flickr, Vimeo or YouTube.

Dazzling and mind boggling video, really very prolific and unique 3D technology.
