10GUI could be the end for mouse

What do you think? Could this new concept 10GUI replace the long-lived mouse that we have so much grown accustomed to? But 10GUI proposes some great ideas, especially the ability to use all your fingers on the multi-touch screen. That means you won’t be restricted to one pointer (of the mouse) which can only do one thing at a time. Watch.

What do you think? Could you use something like this in your daily life? What are the disadvantages that you see with this kind of device?

  1. This is really interesting. 10GUI is something new to me. I will have study detail about it.

  2. Evolution is what makes our world special, and this is a great example of evolution (or make that evolutionary style thinking taking a leap forward.

There is definitely merit in being able to multitask in this manner, but perhaps it will be just too much, just like those mice that have tons of buttons all overt hem that don’t actually get used.

How about no room for a keyboard? It looks great, I must say, and I love the idea of replacing the mouse with something that can be more efficient, but it looks to be taking up the space on most users’ desks that is currently taken up by their keyboards, and I don’t see this device replacing keyboards. How about splitting the device in half; one half for each hand that could be put on either side of the keyboard?

Sounds like a novel idea but imagine the state your screen will get in, especially for those of us who eat, drink and sleep around our laptops!

  5. eventually the standard mouse will get phased out. The question is, how long will that take? I think people are so accustomed to using mice that it will take some time for people to get used to something new and intricate.

  6. Whoa, that’s way to complicated. I love new technology, but I think Con10uum is something kids would need to start using in school.

It sounds really very nice. Great Idea.

  8. alternative says:

i still love the old mouse.

  9. Sound like this will eventually replace the mouse. As long as you can find space for the keyboard and the touch panel this should catch own very quickly.

  10. That’s pretty amazing. This is very nice having the power of moving several windows at a time. But imagine how sensitive the screen, just one wrong move and you’ll mess up your computer.

We are so much attached to the mouse… It would be very difficult to let go of it..

  12. This is simply amazing. It reminds me of watching the Mac interface when the Mac was first launched decades ago. It’s exciting to see real innovation in an area that has been largely ignored. Sure, we’ve seen additional technology added to the original mouse, but this takes user-control to a whole new level.

  13. There is always room for improvement…my only reservation is that the average computer keyboard is home to more germs than the average toilet, so the touch technology still needs refining in my opinion…

  14. That’s because most people actually clean their toilets unlike their computer keyboards. Try cleaning it once in a while and you won’t have to worry about infectious germs.

  16. Really new to me.
Could be the end for mouse? Well, not really in my opinion. People are so accustomed using the computer mice that will be way too complicated.
It sounds really very nice. But it will take a long time… for people to get used to.
I have nothing against new technology but, I think this will not be for us now, maybe for the future??? In 10 more years maybe???

  17. Very interesting indeed, I have never heard of 10GUI technology before. It really looks like it could be the way of the future….a bit like a basic version of the 3D ones you see in scifi or futuristic movies

  18. Hey my all friend I am glad to inform you that my blog PR increase from 1 to 3.

  19. Hey buddy i dont have much information about GUI. But i think all these comes under embedded systems. I have done P.G in this field.
I can say one disadvantage by using this program in any device:
Any program which runs with with 0′s and 1′s (O-NO,1-Yes)[indication in numbers] will definitely shows some errors after usage.

This is really a cool feature. So, now we can use our mouse as that we use a laptop. Place any where and drop. Also we can let that do a multi-tasking. Great.

  21. 10GUi sound like a very interesting idea instead of using a mouse, I will try it for sure.

Got something to say? Go for it!
