just use it and see the differece.

  3. I have listen about it lots of time, but for me it is till valuable of using meta tag on website.

  4. The title and meta description is infinitely more important, but I won’t leave them out of the loop altogether though. I find that all the little things do add up and make a difference to your search engine rankings.

  5. I know Google is big on keyword rich meta descriptions, title tags and h headers, but to altogether ignore the meta keywords really doesn’t make sense to me.

You also have to look at keyword density – just make sure the main keywords you are targeting are mentioned several times in a natural looking way in the first 100 or so words of your content, and in the very last sentence.

An interesting experiment would be to get all SEO factors exactly the same on two pages, and do one with meta keywords, and the other one without, and to then see what gives.

  6. What is the advantage of ignoring it? It takes only minutes to plugin your keywords so why not? Even if Google doesn’t use it, other search engines do.

This statement seems very interesting that we should stop using keywords.

  8. @ Karaoke Hire – The reference was purely to the meta keywords tag, and not to eliminating keywords altogether per se. Ignoring keywords would make it impossible to target what exactly you’re trying to rank for in the search engines.

  9. I believe strongly in the meta tag keywords and in its ability to help rank. I would never consider building a site without quality keyword research and a strong meta tag.

  10. Lisa says:

Keywords are not completely irrelevent, but still important.

  11. used tires says:

Well my take on it is that we should not worry about the meta keywords tag, and just write the content for the readers.

    Till then,

    Jean
