Popularized by BuySellAds.com, it seems like fixed monthly rate banners are coming back to the advertising networks again.
Today one of the major ad-networks LinkWorth introduced new fixed rate option called LinkBanner. They are running it with selected publishers for now, but will be implementing it network-wide soon.
Since global economy is struggling to come out from recession, I think it’s very timely to introduce fixed-rate banner options now. Because most advertisers would welcome this kind of advertising options, especially on high traffic sites (provided that the rates are affordable).

Good that we are seeing the slow progress in the field. I am among those who lost much in these recession. Even adsense left me high and dry. I know things are getting back. This certainly will help.
Fixed adspend appeals to the more concervative media buyers, who just don’t get the concept of PPC and the like. It is also gratifying to know that your ad will be displayed 24/7 for the entire month, without you having to worry about running out of budget and click fraud. Cost will be the big factor here, as you rightly mentioned, Mr Ades.

This is a good idea. In times like these advertisement diversity is important because often it bring better results.
Fixed rates banners seems like a wonderful concept, once its launched in the network, I am surely going to subscribe to it. As per the economy such option must give a boost to the internet marketers. Thanks a lot for this wonderful information.
