I saw this flash banner few times but never really seen the end part. Whenever it came up I thought, well those Mudah.my guys are really advertising a lot! In fact, Mudah is really the biggest advertiser of Google AdSense in the region. So I thought it was their banner.
The thing is I never saw the end frame until today! They are not Mudah, but MySimplifieds.com (see below)

Oops.. they have missed the most important rule in flash advertising when building awareness, that is to keep the logo on every frame! It should have been something like this:
So, all these while they have been at the disadvantage and been paying thousands of impressions to build a wrong awareness – that is of their competitor Mudah.my.
People at MySimplifieds.com, don’t waste anymore of your hard earned money and please fix your banners.

yeah, the logo must be on every frame on flash. it makes people remember our logo and know what did they click on.

That is definitely a good thing to bring up, I have had the same thing happen to me. Thinking I knew what something was but never really looked.
I have a banner that I did not make, and I need that file to stop looping. Where can I change how many times the banner loops? I’m using flash 8.

It’s hard to understand why they missed this. I’m sure they looked at the finish banner before they started to use it. They are loosing a lot of brand advertising by making this ommision

Brand continuity is of critical importance in any marketing camapign, and you’ve just illustrated a classic example of that not happening. People need to know what to associate the desirted object or outcome with.

Interesting point. The advertising these days are not limiting itself to the tried and tested methods. It is crossing boundaries to reach places where it never reached before. For Example TV commercials that are aired in our part of the world with no logo for a week and then suddenly the company logo will find its place.
Well this is an eye opener because internet is a place to gain quick impression.

You know what, I can totally relate to what you are saying. Being negligent about the basics of online advertising can be very costly. But on the side of this site, they just wanted to create best ad they can & forgot to take into consideration that viewers won’t wait till the end.
