This is a continuation of series on “Different Uses of WordPress”. Previously I have covered:

In this post we will be looking at two more uses of WordPress.

WordPress as Invoice Management System

WP Invoice lets you send itemized invoices to your clients through your blog’s Admin Panel. The plugin ties into WP’s user management database to keep track of your clients and their information.

Credit card payments may be accepted via Authorize.net, MerchantPlus’ NaviGate, or PayPal. For recurring billing the plugin uses Authorize.net’s ARB API that will allow you to setup payment schedules along with invoices.

Excellent post! I didn’t know that this kind of action was possible already for WordPress. It’s great to see the system being used to so many degrees. One of my favorite WordPress modifications is the WP Review Site (which I see you have covered). Keep up the good work :)

I didn’t realize you could do this on your web-page. That is pretty cool. I would think this would be a great way to do a charity auction on your blog. Even though it is not free it is a great feature to have!

WordPress must surely rate as the ultimate platform to develop custom applications on. Everything from content management systems throug to invoice management and even auction sites now. Who is going to pose a challenge to WordPress in the years to come? Right now they seem pretty unassailable!

Are there no limits to the functionality of wordpress? This plugin might not be for free, but at $40 odd you get some serious features. Who could’ve thought an invoice & auction management system can be had for so little money?
