following mj’s death, his album sales soared again. on Amazon it filled every spot on top10 bestselling music list (actually it filled all the way to 15th spot). it was the same on iTunes store (filling all the way to 9th spot). unfortunately all these money is of no benefit to him anymore, if not to his children.

MJ albums will sell even more after his death, since it had made some new tracks that will be published soon. He made these tracks especially to be published after his death. I think he will become the most selling dead artist, after Elvis Presley.

It’s such a shame about Michael Jackson, but I think that the hype will die down. At least all the money should go to his children and they’ll be ok for life

The fine arts has a similar phenomenon: the value of art often increases after the artist’s death. It would be interesting to understand the sociological factors at work.
It is sad that such a genius passeed away so early, and I am not surprised to see the sudden suurge in popuraty and interest in his music. I do feel that Michal Jackson will even outdo Elvis posthumously, eventually.
It is a very big shame about his death, he was a great musician and influenced many artists we hear today. I think he will sell millions more albums now he has passed away.

It is sad that many artists only gain the popularity after passing away. It is nice to see that all the controversy has been put to rest and that fans across the world are pouring their love out and holding on to the positive memories of the superstar.

The jump in posthumous record sales eerily reminds me of an artists paintings becoming much more valuable once the artist has passed on. I hope this money will help his children to have wonderful lives.
