I am newly back from my trip to Redang Island. I had a great time. Away from everything: computers, internet, traffic jams… – just the sun, sea, beach and a great time with my wife and two kids.
Luckily the weather was good too, only the last day it started raining heavily. We stayed there for 3 nights and 4 days.
Below is a front view of the resort we stayed, it’s called Laguna Redang Island Resort.
Redang Island has one of the clearest waters in Malaysia. It was definitely the clearest water I have ever seen.
There were many people on the island, apparently it’s the beginning of a “season” for the island.
You could even see fish swimming all around you… water was that much clear!

If you are in Malaysia or even live overseas, I highly recommend you to visit Redang Island. It’s a great place to forget everything for a while and enjoy the nature.

Nice recommendation, what a clear water,this is my second time to hear about it and I have seen nice pics and videos from my cousin who visited Malaysia and the iland. it is so breathtaking scenery that I have ever seen, I am going to travel and choose the place for my summer break. I also want to enjoy simple things in life by getting away from the monotonous work. I think you had a quality time with your family man.Thanks for sharing us the wonderful pics.

@Solar Power, locally it’s quite affordable. 2N3D packages you can get under $100 per person, especially if you do not have kids and do not mind to stay in chalets. I had to go for resort because of my small kids.

2 nights and 3 days for less than $100? That sounds like a bargain. What are the rooms like?
rooms will be something like this (wooden chalets, no air-conditioning)

:) surely got electricity, there should be fan, bathroom, and perhaps tv.
superior rooms are really good, comes with cable tv and internet connection… but then again, you are trying to take a rest from internet :)
i like redang too…but the spot to dive / snorkle is not that much…hopefully will get to go back there again this year
Don’t really need to get away from the Internet. Just need some sun and warm weather :)
malysia is great, i have been there and it’s no expensive as people used to think !
