Tynt.com – see what texts and images are being copied from your blog

Following two screenshots are self-explanatory for what Tynt does:

Other than that, Tynt will also show which texts or images are being copied from your posts in the blog. All these will be reported in detail when you login to your account at Tynt.

I have already installed it to my blog, so beware if you want to cut and paste ;) Unfortunately it doesn’t show who (i.e which IP or URL) copies, rather it only shows which texts are being copied.

Nevertheless it’s a great service, because by seeing which posts are being copied the most, you can know what type of posts people like the most. Once you know that, you can increase the effectiveness of your posts by blogging in particular style or format.

    That’s very clever!
Although the copier can simply remove the text?
You can always use http://www.copyscape.com which simply copies all your text from your site, and finds website that matches that text

  2. This is a really great idea actually. I just tested it on your blog and it does work :)

I will use this for certain.

  6. That’s a brilliant idea and a great way, as you say, of finding out which types of posts are most popular! It’s like a form of market research

  7. I’ve just tried copying some of your text in to a Word Document, and it does indeed work. It’s a brilliant feature to see what is being used from your blog. :)

  8. It looks great and all, but let me get this straight… it doesn’t show who is copying it? What is the point of that?

  12. Xbox 360 says:

It’s a nice clever tool, but what’s the point if they can just delete the link? Maybe use some sort of PHP encryption to make sure it’s safer

  13. this is a fantastic idea, only drawbacks are you can not know who/which website has copied your text, if the creator can do that it will cut half of the cut and paste websites and the original content creator will be benefited most.
By the way what happens if someone by chance writes exactly the same piece of text?

  14. Jacqueline says:

Sounds good but I agree with others here. Needs to track the copier

  15. Matrassen says:

  18. I often highlight text as I read—kind of like running your finger down the page of a book as you read. I imagine this is a bit annoying for blog owners with Tynt because each highlight appears to be logged. That aside, Tynt looks like an interesting tool.

  19. Free Movies says:
