WP Plugin: Simple Google Sitemap
Free services like XML-sitemaps is great for creating Google Webmaster Tools’ compliant sitemaps for your blog. But the problem is: Your blog is dynamic - it changes daily - and your sitemap is not!
Luckily there is a WordPress plugin called Simple Google Sitemap. Once installed it will create a dynamic sitemap that will update every time you make a new post. Sounds great, isn’t it? That should save a lot of trouble and time for you!
Now you don’t have to create your sitemaps manually and upload them throught FTP..etc.
Plugin allows you to assign ‘priority levels’ and ‘change frequency’ to your posts, pages and articles.
When you are done, just post your sitemap url to Google Webmaster Tools and Google will have up-to-date info about your blog’s changes.

I saw a big difference after I have uploaded the sitemap, it really matters. Some how I did not able to make any of sitemap plugins work with my website, maybe due to hosting issue, at the end I made a text version of the sitemap, since then more and more pages are indexed. Maybe I should give a try to this one.

Another popular sitemap plugin for Wordpress sitemaps is the Google (XML) Sitemaps Generator for WordPress available at
http://www.arnebrachhold.de/projects/wordpress-plugins/google-xml-sitemaps-generator/. I believe this plugin makes a static sitemap any time a new post or page is created. I use it on all of my blogs and it works great. It is also updated quickly whenever a new version of Wordpress is released.

What next? Wordpress really makes life easy, doesn’t it! Now we just need to get it to automatically notify Google of the updates to the site map too! Great plugin, something I’ll definitely be exploring!

I think I will now be changing my blog’s sitemap to this now thanks. I have found it really hard in the past to keep up-to-date with my sitemaps. Its a very handy tool to have if you want to keep Google nice and up-to-date with all of your changes.

great find. it’s annoying to have keep manually running sitemap generator tools. we use a similar tool for our joomla sites, but haven’t had the time to find one for wp.
