Creative Ad: Fitness First

Would you sit on this FitnessFirst bus-stop? I wouldn’t… because once you sit on the bench it automatically shows your weight on the big screen to everyone to see! Creative huh?

I wouldn’t sit on this bus-stop because I am on the heavy side at the moment… I even bought a treadmill last year but somehow haven’t used it yet :) but I made a promise to myself that I will exercise soon (even bought a sauna suit last week). Will let you know on my progress in the future.

    Oh, no!

There is no way for me to sit on this. I would rather stand for two hours, then sit there. Unless you put heavy looking bag on your knees – can always say – oh guys, my bag is 40 kg :)

  2. This is really a creative way of advertising, it is not only good for create awareness and also easy for buss company or municipal government to accept/approve it because it provides a value/benefit for someone while advertising, most of the advertisement utilize/waste others time/money/resource for advertising agents own benefit, which is not fair.

  3. Good luck to you with the exercises, I know how hard it is to make yourself do them. But the result is worth the effort

I don’t think they should discourage people to use the bus. After all, isn’t the bus better for the environment (than your own vehicle)

Very clever ad and good luck with your weight loss! I really need to stop drinking soda 0.0

  9. WOW.. what an advert. They definately get 10/10 for creativity, but I’m not so sure if people would sit on the bench and then say.. “hmm I must join fitness first”. I think a lot of people may be slightly offended!!! It is funny though and to be honest, it might provide a reality check for those people who could do with losing a bit of weight.

  10. A bus stop like this raises privacy concerns if those who sit there don’t realize that their weight is being published to anyone in the general vicinity.

  16. It’s a great idea to market their gym. I always keep a look out for creative ways to market things, I like to see what some companies come up with!

  17. The devil in me will make me want to tweak this to read weight rather optimistically. I can see lots of very neurotic people after that encounter. LOL

Got something to say? Go for it!
