How to get your questions answered from big companies

getsatisfaction.pngGetSatisfaction like FixYa is a place for you to get answers to your questions. But in GetSatisfaction your questions will be answered by the company representatives themselves and not by the crowd.

Moreover, in GS you can do more than just posting a question, you can actually submit ideas, suggestions, report an issue, give them praise etc. It seems many big companies are already on board with at least a dozen employees on support.

It’s a great way to get answers to your questions. Because usually these big elephants won’t get back to you if you use their contact form on their websites ;) - your emails just get dumped in their database. But here it’s in the open and transparent, so they most probably will answer your questions.

You can also get a feedback widget for your blog from GetSatisfaction like the one I am using from uservoice.

Thank a lot for your great post. I have always had problems getting answers to my questions from most of the companies. Some of my questions got only automated answers, some have never been answered.

I believe that with your tips most of my questions will be answered and the answer will be the one I was looking for, not just an automated answer.

Thank you very much. Great post.

This is one of the most helpful posts I’ve ever found. It’s so frustrating most of the time to get answers from big companies. Thanks for the heads up about GS.

Well, this is cool! It’s so frustrating when you can’t get to a big company’s support, I wonder if they are really available at this resource. I’ll go check it out right now.

That’s a fantastic idea!! You’re right, it means that the complaints won’t end up in some email folder somewhere, never to be answered. This at least means that the company will read the complaints, even if they don’t send you a reply

This is a good news, big companies are usually very sluggish responding questions, I always wonder why.
I still wonder will they give a real answer in this solution or just “thanks, we will reply soon” type of answer?

Get Satisfaction is a very apt name! Great idea, coming up with this service, because one really does not get the best response from the majority of company websites. They spotted a great niche, good for them!

It will be interesting to see if this website, which obviously has the attention of big companies, receives take-down notices and legal threats from the companies to remove consumers’ questions and information that cast the companies in a negative light.

    That’s brilliant!
I always thought that the email support from bigger companies like Dell was terrible “we promise to answer your queries within 24 hours” pfft.

I feel sorry for the employees who have to be on the other end of this tool, having to hear people complain about their company all day.

I beleive the next step would be for this to be done on the phone, where you can reach these companies through free numbers, without being put on hold. Now THAT, is what makes good customer support
