2007 Microsoft Office Add-in: Save as PDF
If you are using Microsoft Office 2007, you can add this free add-on from Microsoft for saving files as PDF (see screenshot). Once installed it will allow you to save files as PDF in all eight 2007 Microsoft Office programs:
- Microsoft Office Access 2007
- Microsoft Office Excel 2007
- Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007
- Microsoft Office OneNote 2007
- Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007
- Microsoft Office Publisher 2007
- Microsoft Office Visio 2007
- Microsoft Office Word 2007

Looks like a useful tool. I always have problems with PDF files. I found a pretty easy way to convert say powerpoints into PDF but I don´t think all versions of office will have this - maybe only the newest one! This will save me a lot of time - hassle free saving!

Microsoft is catching up to Open Office by the looks of it. Or at least they are trying to do so! The final decision in choosing between these two offerings inevitably comes down to money, and in the battle of Free vs Paid I feel that Free should have a distinct advantage, especially when it comes to small business and home users.

It’s about time. Microsoft should have had this in 2003.
Thanks for calling our attention to this. I’ve used DoPDF until now, which allows you to print any document (from any program) to a PDF file.

I have been using office 2003 until now as did not feel the strong reason to upgrade, it seems there are some nice things in 2007 version, thanks for the info.
