It is a rather ironic story, isn’t it? At least Google is transparent and consistent, even if it means that they are penalizing themselves in a marketplace where they are actually not the most popular, i.e. Japan. The internal memos relating to this saga, between Google’s department must make for some really entertaining reading indeed!

Heheheheheh! I like this! If Google didn’t discipline their Japanese division they would’ve attracted all kinds of negative publicity, so they were in a bit of a catch 22 situation. I am gld they did the right thing!
