Downloading YouTube videos as MP3
Here is an interesting and very useful software, it converts YouTube videos into MP3 or more specifically it extracts the MP3 out of YouTube videos.
As you know YouTube has lots of beneficial videos (besides all the junk that is put in), but since you don’t have the time to watch all the beneficial lectures - with this software you can download them as an MP3 file and listen to them in your car while you are stuck in the traffic-jam.

I did try it on one video just now, and it did a very good job.

Hiya Ades, this is quite a useful piece of software, do you know of anything that will enable one to save the YouTube videos to ones hard drive?

I will use this all the time. It’s annoying to be trapped at your PC to listen to video lectures on YouTube. This tool allows for easy transfer to the ipod to take YouTube videos on the road. For example, you can get Matt Cutt’s latest videos and listen when you feel like it. Maybe there is a way to combine this tool with another tool to automate the process—for example, whenever a video comes out that meets a certain criteria, the video would be downloaded as an MP3 and saved to your podcast list.
Thanks for the great tip!

That’s great because a lot of videos are only a talking head that you don’t really need to watch.
