Adjix – posting URLs to Twitter made easy

adjix.pngDo you tweet a lot? If you do, you probably copy/paste a lot of URLs and have difficulty shortening it?

Maybe you use services like tinyURL.com to shorten it. But the problem with services like TinyURL is that you have to open it every time you want to shorten URLs. And you have to manually copy and paste the new URL.

Luckily, there is a better alternative now, it’s called Adjix.com. It’s a free URL shortening service that can be integrated to your Twitter account. It also provides a “browser extension” for you to automatically shorten the websites that you are browsing.

When you press the button, it will shorten the URL of the page that you currently surfing + it will auto-insert the shortened URL in the text field ready for you to post to your Twitter account (see below).adjix3.png

This way, you don’t have to do much except writing some text explaining the link and pressing “send” button. It saves you tons of time and it’s really convenient.

If you are US resident they also allow you to make money with your short URLs. You can choose to have stripe ads (one line of ads) on the shortened URL pages and get paid $.10 for every 1000 pageviews. It’s just a bonus thing, I don’t think you can make much money if your Twitter followers are not many.

But the good thing is they provide “no-ad” option too. So, if you don’t want to disturb your users with ads, you can change the settings to “no-ad”, and all your short URLs will be ad-free.

The firefox extension called tiny url creator, works well too. But it’s not as integrated into Twitter like this one is. It’s definitely built for twitter.

  8. Its cool so twittering will be a lot easier with this tool. Thank you for attention.
