Top Commenters: July 2008

Posted in » Free Linkback - by Ades on August 2nd, 2008

New to this blog? See our Popular Posts section to get started, we have tons of great articles that can benefit you. Don't miss the upcoming interesting articles, subscribe to our RSS.

Thank you to the top commenters (is it commenters or commentators?) for the month of July, they were: Rajaie AlKorani, Eva White, Blog for Beginners, Internet TV, PPC, Rice Blogger, SEOrious Results, Tech blog, Fawaz, Marketing Man and paulette.

Thanks guys for being part of AdesBlog community!

P.S Regarding the commenters vs commentators, i prefer commenters because it sounds more like a person who says his part on a particular post. But commentator gives me the impression that he/she is sitting there and giving comments all day long on every possible post ;) (just like the sports commentators. they comment on the whole match as well as on each individual player)

What you say? I don’t think there is a word commenter though. (But we can always create new word right?)

I’m glad to be able to be part of your community here. It has been a great learning experience so far.

Regarding about the correct word to use, I guess commentator would be a more appropriate one, though I’m guilty of using ‘commenters’ all the time.

Oh I didn’t know that commenter isn’t in the dictionary.

I prefer “commenter” as well although according to the Oxford Dictionary there’s no such word. Of course, we “googled” long before it was generally accepted so “commenter” it is> :)

Thanks for the link love Ades. I prefer commenter,
as we definitely are not commentators.

A rose by any other name will still smell as sweet! So, makes no difference really as long as we understand each other. I have not been commenting for some time though have been receiving your RSS feeds. Shall do so now and try to get on your list next month.

I think the plugin’s name is actually “commentators” though I’m not sure that’s exactly right.

I have learned a lot from your blog and hope to learn more in future.

As for the word, i like using “commenters” even though it’s not a real word.

    Congrats all!

The blogroll says “Commentators” so that is good enough for me.
