WP Plugin: My Top Commentators (admin side)

Posted in » WordPress - by Ades on June 12th, 2008

Daniel Scocco of DailyBlogTips.com has released a very useful wp plugin called My Top Commentators. This plugin will show your top commentators under your Dashboard for different periods: Today, Yesterday, Last 7 Days, Current Month, Last Month, Current Year, Last Year or a Custom Period. This is exactly what I was looking for.

Because as you know I publish list of top commentators at the end of each month. And there was one time when I missed one month’s top commentators, because, I forgot to save the names of the top commentators before the counter was reset to zero (it does so at the beginning of each month).

But now with this plugin all I need to do is to just select “Previous Month” from the drop down menu!

Even if you do not publish top commentators on your blog, this plugin will allow you to identify who are your blog’s regular commenters. And eventually you will be able to get to know them personally. Enjoy!

At first I thought it was like the one in your sidebar, but after reading about it and trying it out, I would recommend it to everyone that has and blog and would like to network/reward his most active readers.

My blogs are under developed and I am still using blogger (hangs his head in shame (: ), so I am fairly limited on commentator plugins. Need to make the switch to Worpress when I get some time.

    Really a cool WP Plugin!
It provides all the details about commentators by just pointing mouse over them. I need to install on my own blog too.
    Thanks Ades!

I have just started blogging and am yet to get people to comment except the first well wishers. I have put in a plug for the top commentators and will put this in too when and if traffic increases

Top Commentators widget is a really cool thing. It will make discussion to grow. It will make the readership to be more loyal to the blog they are visiting.

Have just installed this plugin, so expect it would bring some discussion at http://www.wpdaddy.com/blog/ since it is still a ‘brand new’ blog :)
