I like the idea and I guess it is similar to text or banner ads….but it seems to change the emphasis of the blog into a sales pitch (in my humble opinion).
Or am I missing the point and you only use it on blogs where you intend to sell - d’oh, stupid me!

This is a great plugin which will allow us to make some more money from our blog.

While this facility will indeed be of help to monetize a blog, the back up activities in terms of stock location, availability, pricing etc take a great deal of effort and a single blogger is unlikely to benefit much from this development. If the blogger is a single product marketer then it is worthwhile.

Hmmm, the sheer versatility of wordpress just doesn’t cease to impress. If one had to have a e-commerce site developed from scratch you’re looking at huge cash!

Hi Guys. Thanks for all the positive feedback on our WordPress e-Commerce plugin. It has been a long time in the making and we’re just about to launch a new version too - this time we’ve been focusing on stability, nicer interface, and speeding up the javascript…
Hope you like it!!!

That’s a cool idea. I don’t remember but I don’t think it was on when our company started up. We’re a small start-up biz from Singapore and we had to create a website totally from scratch. We also have a wordpress blog at conferencebay.wordpress.com. If only we could have merged those two back then! =D

Wordpress is something quite new to me, and I must say that the versatility of the software really impresses me hugely. An e-commerce plugin is an awesome addition that will be of huge benefit to many online businesses.

WP Ecommerce is a remarkable plugin for an online shopping cart through Wordpress. I am very happy with it, and use it on most all of my sites that I build. We have just released the WP Ecommerce Bible, with over 120 pages of content, screenshots and text files for easy copy and pasting. Visit my site for more information.
