Darren of problogger.net has launched his first book on blogging. It’s called “ProBlogger: Secrets for Blogging Your Way to a Six-Figure Income”. The book is co-authored with Chris Garrett.

The book is available for pre-ordering already at both Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Amazon has an extra 5% discount currently running for it as a pre-order (for the next two weeks – it will be available on 28 April).

Currently it’s priced at $16.49 at Amazon which is pretty cheap.

What the book is all about?

Topics discussed in the book include: How Bloggers Make Money, Direct Income Earning vs. Indirect Income Earning methods, Why Niches are Important, 20 Ingredients for a successful blog post, Optimizing advertising, Which advertising platforms work best, Expert analysis of Technocrat’s Top Blogs – why they work and more.

My Opinion

I think the book will be a success, also I think it’s a kind of milestone for Darren to publish his own book. (Congrats to him!) As far as the book’s content concerned, I don’t think it will provide something really new for the experienced bloggers, but should be a good read for new bloggers. That said, I think it’s safe to say that it will be a better book than current other books on blogging.

That’s not a lot of money to shell out but couldn’t a book about successful blogging be made available on the net as a…..well, blog !

The secret of his six figure success for a measly $16-49! This must surely rate as one of the bargains of the century! Funny this didn’t get released as an e-book. Suppose having a printed publication is sooo much more authorative. This one is definitely on my to-purchase list!
