If you have a blog and at the same time if you are running your own newsletter, then there is a way to increase your blog’s RSS count. Yep, using your newsletter. If you have only a handful of newsletter
subscribers then it’s not worth to try this method, because it’s not free.
However, if you have few thousand subscribers, then you might want to invest in this. At the same time you will be using a professional newsletter management system – Aweber Communications.
Aweber is now tracked by FeedBurner. So when you shift all your newsletter members to your Aweber account, they will be added to your RSS count. Thus, your RSS count will skyrocket.
As I said, Aweber is not free. If you subscribe for month-to-month plan, it will cost you $19.95 (see screenshot). If you go for a yearly plan, than you can save $60.00.
Previously, Yaro of Entrepreneurs-Journey had about 6000 RSS subscribers on his blog. After FeedBurner started tracking Aweber members, now his RSS count stands on over 23,000 members. Impressive huh? That means he had, like.. 17,000 members in his newsletter subscription. No wonder he was saying 70% of his income comes from sending out newsletters. Here is his post about Aweber incident.
We should all consider this newsletter business seriously! Don’t you think?

hEY, FROM YOUR ANALYSIS AND INFORMATIONS , I THINK THIS NEWSLETTER BUSINESS IS VERY LUCRATIVE AND SHOULD BE GIVEN SERIOUS CONSIDERATION.
why not just use the free feedburner option?
i dont really understand the concept..how the rss subscribers can jump higher after using this service..
invest in it – > for sure if we can have benefits out of it
Not all blogs would benefit from a newsletter but there are some who will find these useful and more practical.
Btw, I believe it’s spelled “increasing”. :)
As I said above, it will only benefit you if you already have newsletter members. Shifting your members to aweber, for example if you transfer your members let’s say 10,000 to aweber account. Your RSS count will increase by 10,000. Because Feedburner counts aweber members as RSS subscribers. I hope it’s clear now.
P.S If you do not have any newsletter members then it’s better to concentrate on your Feedburner alone. But it’s never late to start an aweber newsletter too.
be careful importing an existing list into aweber because they force people to optin yet again before they make them active subscriptions and you might lose a bunch from your list.
but it could be argued they weren’t worth having in the first place.
Mark, I think it depends on what you are sending out, if it is your usual newsletter then I don’t think you will lose many subscribers. You just have to inform them in advance that they will be receiving newsletters from aweber from now on.
Very creative tip! I think a lot of bloggers are missing out by focusing solely on RSS subscribers and not building up a list of email subscribers as well.
I have been using aweber for awhile now and i would love to see the results you guys are seeing =p
