Blog loading time
Lately AdesBlog has been loading very slow for me (my location: South-East-Asia/Malaysia). At the moment, it’s hosted on goDaddy.com. I did send an email to goDaddy support about it, but they said that everything was fine on their side.
Maybe it has to do with the latest undersea cable cut.
But I see that goDaddy sites are particularly slower than any other sites that are hosted on non-goDaddy hosts. For example, my AdesDesign is hosted on pair.com and it’s working fine. But then again, pair is located in Australia. And it’s not affected by the cable cut.
I do not know how the blog loads for you guys. There is only one way to find out. Please
and let me know how it is loading for you. It will take about 3 seconds to answer, but the info that I get will be invaluable for me. So thank you in advance!
Based on the poll results, I will either shift the host or stay with goDaddy.

Ades,
I tested your site from UK, total time to open your homepage is approximately 25 seconds. Subsequent pages about 16 seconds.
I host my sites on godaddy and i noticed slowdown as well.

It loaded slow considering your site is not graphic or video heavy, but not too slow.

It is taking around 25 seconds here in the US
I am hosted on GoDaddy to but I haven’t nticed a slowdown on my site. Yours site has been slow for about a month now.

it is very very slow i will suggest you to change your hosting service from godaddy to brinkster.
my site is hosted on brinkster and it work’s great.

I’ve been using godaddy for 2 years and they are great. Sometimes they do slow down due to the tons of hosting coming in from different areas.

I think pair is located in the US. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to be exact.

- Nurik, yeah really they are in US. All these while (6+ years) i had the wrong perception that they were in Australia. Probably it’s because of their address:

Also, my first hosting sponsor who provided free hosting was from Australia… ;)
- Hank, I am already using wp-cache… i do not know how slow it would be without cache.

Erm, it is loading pretty fast from Malaysia, Selangor-Seri Kembangan here, with Firefox on a Windows XP Pro machine though..
