New to this blog? See our Popular Posts section to get started, we have tons of great articles that can benefit you. Don't miss the upcoming interesting articles, subscribe to our RSS.

I have created a page called Popular Posts, which will contain the best articles of AdesBlog.com. If you are new to AdesBlog, or only recently started reading this blog, then I strongly recommend you to checkpopular posts Popular Posts page. Because it will contain all the useful articles that you might have missed earlier.

One of the disadvantages of blogging is that, the better articles might get buried over time. There are various ways of solving this problem, one of which is creating “Popular Posts” page.

There are of course, different plugins that can create similar pages automatically, based on the number of views the page gets, number of comments the page gets etc. But these methods have one disadvantage, that is, sometimes not relevant and not so useful posts can climb into the list. Especially when they get Digg’ed or Stumbled.

For this reason, in order to keep only the most relevant and useful articles in the list, I have chosen to make a custom “popular posts” page (articles are hand-picked). I am still going through my archives and adding more articles to the list, so make sure you check back the page later.

P.S Do you have a similar page at your blog? What measure you have taken to solve the buried posts problem?

Such pages make it easier for first-time visitors to see what your blog is all about and, personally, I have an “articles” page where I list all of my article series, two pages devoted to my weekly podcasts and one to the series of interviews I’m publishing. Keeping things organized always helps and making great posts just one click away may just convince readers that coming back or bookmarking your blog is a wise decision on their part.

I think it is great to get some pagerank for more inside pages.

I do a monthly review post. And a yearly review post. Isn’t that enough? :)

Rome, that’s for your regular readers. Pages like “popular posts” are for the new visitors, it will be a good place for them to start.
