Should “Weekly Top5 Sites Contest” continue?
I will check the results in 2 days and decide based on them. Until the results are out, there will be no new updates. So the current five sites will stay few more days longer.

Since google is penalizing…PR5 is a good link back

I think PR5 is now the equivalent of PR7 so yeah continue please!

I agree with the others. Getting a link from a higher PR is hard enough so it would be a nice gesture on your part to keep it:)

I agree with the others who’ve said that you should keep doing the top 5. It’s always a bonus to get a link back from a groovy blog :)

I am all for it but you are the one that has the ranking… ultimately I think you should do what you think is best for your site, buy hey, I would love a link too.
Of course, I guess you should really only be asking those who have a higher ranking site than you do, then you will really know the value of the contest. All of us who have low ranking blogs and no traffic would love to have the contest continue, of course. I would even reciprocate. :) Scott

honestly, i don’t see any relation about giving your readers free links and your pr.
people are always happy to get a link and like to see their name listed. traffic wise, it is a total different story. those links may/may not bring any traffics. and most of the time, it really dont bring good traffics.

oops , i didn’t mean to sound so bad. i mean, i’m grateful for the links and even if you are a pr3, 4, 2, 1, it don’t really matters.
since i’ve been part of the weekly member’s link, the traffic is not something i want to judge though.

No problem Jenny, the contest was not to send huge traffic to members but to give them a good PR7 backlink. I am aware of the low level of traffic that this contest sends…
But as you said, people will be happy to be selected for the contest. And that’s what matters most… from the poll it shows that the contest will be on…
