WP Plugin: Better Page Navigation with WP-PageNavi
I have just installed WP-PageNavi plugin of lesterchan. (this guy creates some really useful plugins) WP-PageNavi creates a more usable navigation for your blog. Below is the screenshot of how the pagination of your blog will look like, after you have installed the plugin.

I have modified the CSS to suit my blog theme, here is how mine looks like:

If you would like to use my CSS, download this pagenavi-css.zip and replace the CSS file in the plugin folder.
Please be generous with your comments, not just for this post but in general. That way everybody will get to know each other better. And hopefully there will be a real community (not just silent readers) where we could share many things and benefit from each other.

P.S This plugin has been added to my WordPress Plugins page.

WP-PageNavi 2.20 - Upcoming Version
I think this means that Lester Chan will work on releasing 2.2 version of this plugin so it will work with new wordpress 2.3

I wait for 2.3 compatible version, thanks for your introduction

CompuWorld, maybe you are using the code twice? It’s not compatible with 2.3 yet.

I recently installed WP-PageNavi after reading your article on it and I’m very happy with the results.
I have yet to do an exhaustive analysis of visitor behavior but since deploying the plugin, I’ve seen a significant rise in page views/visitor.
I can definitely see how it can encourage visitors to dig through a site. It does a great job of giving a visitor a sense of how much content a site has and makes it easier to explore. Thanks for the write up as well as the CSS! BTW - No problems with WordPress 2.3.2 and the latest plugin version.

Robert, that’s a useful observation. I am positive that this plugin will increase your readers’ length of stay on your blog. Because it encourages them to view more pages.
Thanks for commenting!
