LinkWorth affiliate program expands…
I have talked about LinkWorth quite a lot on this blog already, and most of you know that it’s a publisher program similar to Text-Link-Ads. It allows you to sell text links on your blog.
LinkWorth had an affiliate program that allows you to make money by referring advertisers (not publishers) to the system. Every time you refer an advertiser you make $10.
However their system was counting publishers as well, and giving $10 for every referred publisher too (when it should not have). And the system would display your affiliate earnings on the dashboard every time you login. Obviously it made many publishers happy (including me ;).
But few days back, this earnings stats had mysteriously disappeared. After two days, I believe all publishers got an email telling that the affiliate program has been updated and now you could make money by referring publishers as well, in addition to the advertiser referral that you could do before.
However you won’t make money until the referred publisher (or advertiser) makes (or spends) at least $100. They said this is to ensure that the referred people are genuinely interested in the program, and not just trying to make a quick bucks.
Email also said that the system was showing the affiliate earnings wrongly, since it was including the publisher referrals in the stats. However it said, no stats were lost and you would still be paid whenever your referred person makes his/her first $100 dollars.
Difficult but generous
While now it’s more difficult to make money from LinkWorth affiliate program, at the same time, now it allows you to make more money than before, the payout for every referred member has now increased to $25/referral, from $10/referral previously. Here is the actual payment breakdown:
Publisher Account Referrals
- $25 payout once the partner earns a minimum of $100.00
Advertiser Account Referrals
- $25 payout once the advertiser spends a minimum of $100.00
- 5% payout on all recurring charges for the life of the advertiser account
Combo Account Referrals
- $25 payout once the advertiser side spends a minimum of $100.00
- 5% payout on all recurring advertising charges for life of account
- $25 payout once the partner side earns a minimum of $100.00
So if you are in to this program for a long term, than you have nothing to worry about. As long as your referred members make money, eventually you will be making money too.
Not to forget, affiliate program is not the main product of LinkWorth.com. It’s just a bonus for the members to make additional money, besides selling text links on their blogs.
