Some LinkWorth Tips…
I see that more and more people are interested in LinkWorth after I have blogged about it. People are now asking how to promote their sites inside LinkWorth, to the LinkWorth advertisers.
Become a Preferred Partner
As I have already blogged, one way is to become a preferred partner. When you are preferred partner you get 50% of the money earned from your sites, rather than the default 70%. Also when you are preferred partner, LinkWorth staff will recommend your site to the advertisers. That means when you are preferred partner, your site will get the first attention compared to the rest of the sites.
You can change between 50/50 to 70/30 earnings ratio anytime, so don’t worry about giving away 20% of the earnings. You can change the status anytime if you want. Just send an email to the support team and they will change the status for you.
Featured LinkAds
Another way of promoting your site to LinkWorth advertisers is through advertising. LinkWorth allows you to advertise your site in the control panel, through their Featured LinkAds service. When you advertise, your site will be visible to everybody in their Control Panel (see screenshot).
You can advertise your site through My Sites > Upgrade > Upgrade A Website Listing (or Upgrade A Package Listing) whichever you have listed. Obviously you have to be logged in to LinkWorth to use this service, and please note that only your approved sites/listings can be advertised.
Improve your LinkRank
And finally, work on your blog - improve its rankings in Google, Yahoo, Technorati and Alexa. LinkWorth assigns their own ranking to blogs based on those statistics, it’s called LinkRank. The higher LinkRank you have, the better it is for you. So rather than waiting for LinkWorth staff to find you advertisers, you can do your part and let the advertisers chase after you. Because your earnings are as good as your blog only.
And this is also the most practical and achievable thing to do, because you have the control. All you need is a time and some quality posts.
LinkWorth sounds promising but should I join now?
Look at the screenshot to the left that is captured from LinkWorth homepage today. The number of advertisers are more than twice the number of publishers.
Maybe that’s why LinkWorth is working for many bloggers. Because LinkWorth have worked on the advertisers first and have collected some good inventory. So that gives a great chance to any decent blog to start earning immediately after they join LinkWorth.
I think it’s a good time to join LinkWorth now, because once the blogosphere will be talking about it as the alternative money maker. It will be difficult for you to compete with other hundreds of thousands of blogs. So be the first to join and have that “first mover advantage” on your side. www.linkworth.com

Very nice post. Trying to remain optimistic, but LinkWorth hasn’t really worked for me.

I’d love to use linkworth because it looks promising but they have the most confusing website of all ad networks Ive used.

which part of your blog is linkworth links?
By Spud Oregon on Aug 21, 2007
I got approved by Linkworth, but am totally confused about what to do next. There are so many options but no explanation for any of them. Ades, I just went on a rant, and then thought better and deleted what I had written. Linkworth has got so much going for it, I just wish they’d make it much, much, much easier to understand. Here’s hoping for improvement.
One question for you. Are you using the Wordpress plugin?
By Ades on Aug 21, 2007
LcF - they are at the left column, first box.
Spud - No, I am not using their WP plugin, I am using dynamic script option. I know what you mean, I had the same difficulty about LW when I first signed up. It’s pretty difficult to understand, even with the new interface.
I am not sure if I should write a tutorial for it… if more people want it then I can write a step by step tutorial. So let me know guys. I know Malique had requested for it previously.
By malique on Aug 21, 2007
oh u remembered.
yeah its quite confusing, Even with the new gui.
anyways, i tried to generate a code, all it had was tables.
do i need to wait for an advertiser before i add the code? (hope its not a silly question)
hear from you soon ades.
By Ades on Aug 21, 2007
Malique, if you choose table LW can generate td or tr tags, that means you can manipulate the table tag with cellpadding and cellspacing properties… if I am not mistaken they have other separator options too such as | and comma.. am i right?
You can put up the code first, but it’s better to wait for the advertiser. Because if the LW server is slow or down it might affect your blog loading time, so if you do not have any ads, it’s better not to add the code just yet.
Good luck!

I think a tutorial would be great, so you have my vote. Meanwhile, I got this message from Linkworth:
“Now that your site has been approved it has been listed in our database for advertisers to browse through. Once an advertiser would like to request an ad on your site you will be notified via email. This will have instructions on how to approve and publish the link.”

Now I understand completely the Control Panel interface, a bit confusing with the old design.
Btw, nice tip Ades ;)
