As you all know my PR7 Giveaway Contest has been going on for some time now. I just want to update you all and let you know the results of this SEO contest. First thing I want to say is that, this kind of contest really works. So if you have the opportunity to organize such SEO contest, then do it immediately! Because you never know when Google will ban it… ;)

When I first released my color picker program, it was never to be seen among the 2 million results for “color picker” keyword. Now after just 2 months, it ranks No.5 on Google, No.4 on MSN, and No.5 on Yahoo. All thanks to my contest and the people who have participated in it.

To get to second page of Google results were not that difficult, but to climb to first page was a challenge. Even after it was on first page, it stayed on No.8 for about a month. So I am expecting it to be more challenging to get to top 3 spot. But I will try to get there!
