Text Link Ads – affiliate program that works

Previously in this post I discussed why Text-Link-Ads worked better than AdBrite. Now I would like to point out that TLA’s affiliate program works better than many other affiliates programs. Reasons why it works might vary. Maybe because it’s designed for bloggers, here both parties are bloggers; advertisers are bloggers and publishers are bloggers too. Or more in general term, they are all webmasters, people who own websites.
text link ads affiliate program earningsWhen you are a blogger, it’s easier to push products and services to your fellow bloggers. For example “sell text links on your blog” sounds more interesting than “buy vicodin for $5″ to bloggers! Maybe the latter example was too exaggerated, but you get what I mean, right? It’s easier to promote something that you use yourself.

Also, the payout is not bad either. TLA gives $25 per referred person, whether you refer advertiser or another publisher, it’s the same. So far I have earned $175. It’s more or less, one person a month for me. It’s not a huge money maker, but it’s a program that works for me. Slowly but steadily.

If you are new to TLA, sign up for TLA’s affiliage program and start earning money! If you are already TLA member, then you might want to place a link (or banner) on your blog. After all, it’s just a small link with a big payout.

Rather than serving 6 day campaign for .40 cents (big banner), I might as well serve small text-link 30 days, for $25!

Do you use TLA’s affiliate program? If yes, how has it been performing for you? We would all like to know…

Thanks for a great article, I to are an affiliate of the text link ads program and have had some success with it. As far as selling links myself I have used them and also have had success selling them privately via my own “advertising” page.

I am planning to use this on my affordable web hosting blog. If I do I’ll sign up through you. You’re right in that if you sell relevant products to your readers the revenue per CPM should way outclass any pure CPM program. I would say you can earn up to 10 times what you would be able to make by putting up a CPM banner and your site will look less spammy!

Hmmm interesting post its a bit old but i think its still fairly relevant, but I wonder how many more signups you could expect with most of the larger SEO/SEM blogs heavily promoting the service via their own affiliate links.

It can work if you are using the link in social media and email marketing but im wondering how much possible affiliate revenue i could make. Being how my adsense grows faster than my website traffic it may work but would imagine 3 years after this post was written placing the WP plugin on your site is like painting a bullseye on your back?
