First Nuffnang ad from MPHonline.com
Nuffnang contacted me today and asked me to put up their script, because MPHonline was interested to advertise on my blog. Before I proceed, little history… When I first signed up for Nuffnang it didn’t work properly on my Firefox browser, so I had to open IE to manage my account. After that, I put up the script and waited for the ads to appear, however they didn’t ;) It’s a new advertising network, so it’s understandable that there are not many advertisers in their inventory. Problem was not about that.
Problem was in - after I have integrated the script to my blog, it became very slow. Especially for those who were surfing outside Malaysia. It was not so noticeable for me, probably because Nuffnang ads are served locally. Nuffnang is located in Penang (Malaysia) and I am in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). (Malaysian Nuffnang publishers, you might want to check your blog loading speed too). Thanks to KuanHoon for bringing this to my attention.
So after this problem, I had removed Nuffnang script totally. Why put it back again? Because now, there is real advertiser, and I want to test Nuffnang performance as an alternative money making program. During this MPHOnline campaign, I will know if this is my last ad with Nuffnang or if I will be their staunch supporter. As for the blog loading time, please let me know if the blog is loading slow? Especially readers from outside Malaysia. If it is too slow, then I will remove the script again until Nuffnang finds a solution for it.
As for MPHonline, thanks for choosing my blog.
MPHOnline is a major bookstore chain in Malaysia, similar to Borders in United States. I have only one recommendation to MPH, please fire your graphic designer who designed your banner. It’s terrible. The design of the banner affects your campaign’s success tremendously. And it should not be taken lightly. You are spending money on the banner, and you might be loosing money because of the banner. If you (MPH) want, I can come up with a design for you (for free). just let me know.
P.S I will update you guys on the performance of Nuffnang after current campaign ends, so you can decide whether you should join it or not.

Hi Ades, Just wondering what has happened to NuffNang ad on your blog. I just signed up with NuffNang after much consideration, but it is really slowing down my blog. Now I am thinking of removing it. Just wondering what is your suggestion.

Hi Kuan, I really do not know what to suggest. When MPH campaign was running I got complaints from users that the blog was slow again. Now that the campaign has ended I have removed the script again. I am checking my account for the earnings but it still showing “zero”. So I cannot say whether you can make good money with NN or not. I have already contacted them regarding the script problem but no response. You may want to report too.

Hi,
For your information, Nuffnang is not just located in Penang but also in Kuala Lumpur.

Teng, when this post was posted, I think they had only office in Penang.
