Bla.st - Free Advertising (Screenshot + Link)
Have you already got your free advertising at bla.st? If not, then you should.
It’s a website that lets you post your website’s screenshot together with the link. Your website will be automatically promoted in all the participating websites. I am also participating, you can see screenshots of sites at the left column of this blog (scroll down). Of course, competition is always there. Everybody wants his site to be the first screenshot, whether on bla.st’s homepage or in specific category. To solve this issue, they have implemented a paid service, where if you bid the highest your site will be displayed first. Simple right?
I am sure they will make tons of money with this. It’s a good idea, and it’s already working great. I think it’s just a matter of time before it will flood with thousands of screenshots.
Making money with Bla.st
You can also make money with bla.st, the widgets (screenshots) that you post on your site will be embedded with your referral id, so if anyone registers through your id and upgrades his/her link to paid then you get 50% of the payment. How much you will get paid will depend on the person that you referred, it will depend on how much he bids and for how many days he advertises. So the higher he/she bids and the longer he/she advertises, the happier you will be ;)
You get paid through PayPal by the way. Sign up with bla.st

i already tried it,
it is completely not user friendly,
you need to set a image that exactly 270 x 165 pixels,
why they can not auto capture or set the size of the upload images?

Wallace, yes I think they should have resized all the other banner sizes to 270×165 pixels. Knowing the banner size helps, because I can create the exact size and the design according to it. But at the same time it should be usable, meaning not too strict on the size, if the size is wrong, just resize it, right?
I guess they do not want bad looking banners, because people would submit all kinds of sizes. And after resizing those banners would look awful. Maybe that was the solution.
