Couloir.org uses a nice photo gallery that is programmed in javascript. It has all the features of a flash script, like preloading features and nice rollover effects that are normally not seen in javascript scripts. However these days we are seeing more advanced and usable javascripts, I have reported one such script here previously.
The author of Couloir.com was nice enough to provide the code for javascript photo gallery at this page, or you can directly download the script here.
