I moved to a new house where there is no internet connection, and now I am having trouble updating my websites. Especially using FTP clients, because most of the internet cafes here (KL, Malaysia) do not offer FTP services, and most of them do not allow users to install any application on the PCs. Luckily I found Portable Apps Suite which saved me big time, these are applications that you can run directly from your thumbdrive.

Portable Apps Suite Contains: Portable Firefox (web browser), Portable Thunderbird (email client), Portable OpenOffice.org (office suite), Portable AbiWord (word processor), Portable NVU (web editor), Portable Sunbird (calendar & task list), Portable FileZilla (FTP client), Portable Gaim (instant messenger) and will fit on a 256Mb USB thumbdrive.

This looks like a really cool collection of programs for the mobile net/cafe person. I will have to test it out…

    Thanks…
